I officially love the Libertines.

Interviewer - What's your band's philosophy?
Pete - Well it used to be: 'Try everything once apart from incest and the internet.' But then I got into the internet. So I suppose I'll have to change my philosophy. 'Try everything once except for incest.'
Carl - And Morse dancing.
Pete and Carl - mutter mutter
Pete and Carl - begin to morse dance
Carl - you'll never see that again.

:D :D :D

Click here for the very short video interview as well as a live performance of Time for Heroes with incredible hottness during the mic-share!!!

So me and Duffy decided to take some decisive action against the boredom that is Liverpool. We're always complaining that there's nothing to do so we decided to do something. As Liverpool is European Capital of Culture (and Duffy needed to go into town anyway :p) we decided to go on a big tourist run type thing. We didn't get to see everything but we did find some stuff and it did kill a day! so all those people who are moving to or planning on moving to Liverpool, you're about to see what you're letting yourself in for.

After heading to Dawson's to get guitar strings we went to find this wall that I've heard about. It's the Liverpool Wall Of Fame, I don't frequent Matthew's Street so I've never actually seen it before. But while we were wandering down the street trying to find this wall we found The Beatles Shop, which is near The Cavern. We didn't go in but we took a photo to basically mock Japanese toursits... then while we were taking a photo of it... a Japanese toursit stood next to us and took a picture. ...BAHAHA!! What are the chances?! And he didn't even realise we were mocking him!! Gawb bless him. We should have taken a picture of the tourist.

The Beatles Shop

Bit further down the road was what we were looking for:

The Wall of Fame - It's not very clear... my camera screwed me over. What it is every number one from an artist from Liverpool. The artist, song and year are on those gold discs. Most of them are The Beatles or Beatles related though. Where Duffy is standing (right of image) there's photos of all the artists. That is where we found this classic shot of Ken Dodd!! He's an absolute legend but he does look like some sort of serial killer on this particular photo.

We found the stature of John Lennon outside The Cavern:

Duffy and John Lennon - It's not very clear but there's a name of a band that played in The Cavern between whatever dates (I can't remember which exactly), I'd never heard of any of them. It was quite amusing. There was probably a Beatles brick but I couldn't be arsed searching for it.

Well, I'd found the wall I was looking for so we headed to the docks. We had the best photo op for the Liver Building... but we had to stand in the middle of the road and there were loads of cars coming so I didn't get it :( So we walked round to the water front and got some pictures there. There's this big bit of grass round there that we want to camp on... it'd be great. Go to town then camp out in front of The Three Graces!!

Immature Picture #1 - there was a statue of some guy on a horse and it said this and we laughed... so we sat on the erection and took pictures of The Three Graces

Liver Building on its todd
Close up of the Liver Bird - there's two of them but this is the main one, the other is facing the other way. The myth is that one of the birds is male and the other is female and they're facing opposite ways because if they mated the city would fall down.... pretty shitty myth if you ask me.
Two Graces
The Third Grace - I would have taken a picture of them all together but they wouldn't all fit on from where we were sitting and we couldn't be bothered moving.

After that excitement we went to the Albert Docks, home of Granada Studios where This Morning used to be filmed. We tried to find Fred The Weatherman's map... but they must have moved it :( Plus the horse was gorgeous!! It was advertising some wedding transport hire place but Shire Horses are cuteness. These are the old warehouses that used to be used to store cargo and stuff that came into the docks. I'm not 100% sure what they're used for now but I'm pretty sure that one of the end ones is a hotel of some sort.

We went for a walk around the main bit of the docks which is all just shops full of general TATT. Oh and The Tate is there aswell. I really should go there sometime, apparently it's free so I've got no excuse really. I keep meaning to go. OHHHHHHHH and there's this sweet shop in the docks that sells old sweets... like rock and gobstoppers and stuff. We walked past it and it smelt absolutely gorgeous so we had to go in. Go in just to smell it, might sound weird but it smells like the best thing ever! There's a bar around there called babycream.... it just sounds wrong... I would have taken a picture of SuperLambBanana but they've moved it to somewhere where I don't know where it is.... but I did find Immature Picture #2... LOLZ!!

Yellow Duck Marine - we found this!! It drove past us about 3 or 4 times while we were walking up to the dock but it was too fast for us to get the camera out. Is it a bus? Is it a boat? It's the Yellow Duck Marine!! It's this thing which takes tourist around and about then goes into the Mersey. It's a weird thing to watch happen... I've never been on it, it'd scare the shit out of me.

Speaking of scaring the shit out of me... we went to get food (from The Lobster Pot... GO THERE!! It's so much more than just a chippy :p) and went to the old bombed out church. All the gates were either locked or jammed so we just sat on the steps and got abused by an angry wasp so moved to some higher up steps :P Then this pigeon came and we made the horrific mistake of giving it a chip... DON'T DO IT! Then 20-30 pigeons all came and were swarming around us.. I'm absolutely petirified of birds so this was not a nice experience.

Pigeons - it doesn't look as bad on this picture because you can't see them all. We were trying to get them all together but they weren't having any of it. The AIDS Pigeon is called that because he was all... messed up. He had no feathers on one side of his neck and he looked like he'd stuck his head in some acid or somthing. The Nazi pigeon was nothing to do with the day... It's just when I put the photos on my computer I noticed that it looked like it was goose stepping... plus it's the whole Nazi (duffy) vs Commie (me) thing going on.

Theeeeeeeeeeeen we went to China Town which was nice. Everytime I go down that way I'm amazed by the gate. It's just really beautiful. We didn't spend much time there because it's all just restaurants basically so there's not much to see. But those lions in front of the gate are scattered around the place leading up to China Town, I should go for a meal there sometime. I think it would rule.

So after that we decided to go home... but we went a different way. Outside The Swan there was a skip that we had to get a picture of:

LOLZ!!1! - *cough* Some guys came up to us and went "So your name's Duffy, right?"... it was funny at the time. And that was my day. Brought to you by:

Me looking like a psycho on the train &
Duffy looking like a psycho on the train

Everyone: "Vnl Online is a community based J-Pop music videos website. We have over 100 hours of streaming audio/video and 10000+ photos that is constantly growing as a result of the site's community driven nature. Users can upload photos and videos, create photo albums, publish their own sites/albums so others can see, rate other users' sites, use the forums, and chat with other users through instant messaging or communicate via offline messages." Here is the link.

It's absolutely fantastic. Completely free. I joined this a while ago during my J-rock binge and I recently rediscovered it. I've been watching a bunch of Gackt videos. I also found this band that I've never heard of before, MUCC. Do any of my beloved readers have the audio/video file of the song Kokoro no Naimachi by MUCC? I'm addicted to it, but you can't download from the site. It's for viewing/listening only. It would be much appreciated if anyone could send me the file.

EDIT: No longer needed. :D My newfound guardian angel, d4rkbutt3rfly from jcrack provided me with all the mp3age I need. I shall make myself a CD with 23 tracks of Kokoro no Nai Machi and listen to it for days in celebration. If anyone wants the mp3, I'll gladly upload it for you.

Come on guys, help me out? Vote! I could really use any opinions you have to offer. I just can't decide, I kind of like them all and none of them really stand out to me as anything great, so if you have a good idea with one of these images or something completely different, or if you do like one of them, I'd really appreciate it.

All right my dears. Since nothing is going on in here, I shall adopt this community for my own personal uses. Do you guys remember my last post about the community academy_elite? If not, go here to refresh your memory.

I am an AA (Academy Assistant) in that community, meaning I am one of four AA's who run the Trivia/Graphic/Essay/ETC contests. Every member must have a sig tag (Signature Tag) to put at the end of each post. I made a bunch and now I can't decide which to use. Will you guys help me out? Just comment telling which one(s) you like the best. Thanks so much!
